A world of joy woven with multiple pieces
This bait-finesse rod, specially designed for mountain streams, was created in collaboration with Yamanami Shoten. Designed primarily for twitching sinking minnows, it boasts a manageable length of 4 feet 8 inches and a tasteful design with a reel seat and single hand grip made of wood (bird's eye wood). The threads are also finished in brown. Its retracted size is approximately 34.3 cm, making it extremely compact for storage.

The 4'8" blank is designed for use in mountain streams, especially in headwaters, and is designed and configured to ensure stress-free operation from casting to lure action and hooking. The rod is neither too soft nor too stiff, achieving the ideal balance for mountain stream minnowing. The tip and belly sections hold even lightweight lures of around 3g, allowing you to feel their flex and cast easily, and despite its short length, it is not "too stiff to make it difficult to cast." Side, backhand, and flip casts can also be performed with ease.
Blanks and guide settings
The YS408-5C uses a carbon blank with stainless steel SiC guides. The short retracted length and small diameter guides allow for compact storage when reeling high in headwaters. The reel seat and grip are made from specially selected wood (bird's eye maple) (*), and the reel hood and other parts are all made from original metal parts (gunmetal). All joints are spigot ferrules. (*As each rod is made from natural wood with a different pattern and color, returns and exchanges are not possible.)
