The SOUTHERN BLUE , a line that has targeted only giant fish since the early days of MC works, has been revived with a high-elasticity, high-strength full-glass blank construction. This new SOUTHERN BLUE has been updated with high durability due to its high tenacity and high torque for challenging giant fish such as bluefin tuna, amberjack, and grouper. Instead of the usual glass material with low rebound force, it has been made thickly wound, resulting in a rod with an exceptionally high modulus of elasticity for a glass rod. In addition to the amazing break resistance unique to glass, the lifting ability is the greatest feature of this model. While it is certainly possible to apply high drag with a large spinning reel, repeatedly letting out and putting in line with prolonged drag will severely damage the PE line due to twisting, and easily compromise its strength. Therefore, high-drag fighting is a tackle suitable for relatively short fight times, where the pace is carefully controlled.
