Amplify the thrill of close-range light games to the utmost.

Twiggy

This is the lightest form of an aggressive short model. The high operating response due to the highly elastic material composition and the extremely delicate feel of the low taper slender blank and ultra-thin short solid tip amplify the pleasure of close-range light games using lightweight rigs such as jig head rigs of around 1g to the utmost. The series of processes from luring to hooking to catching are clearer and more exciting. This is a rod that will make close-range light games even more interesting.
Pro Staff Impressions
This rod, named "Twiggy," which means twig, feels just like a twig when you cast it. It's delicate and very light, but it has tension... When you actually fish with it, the sensitivity is so high that you can easily feel the presence of a light rig, changes in the current, and even small bites, and the tension makes it easy to bounce the rig and instantly hook it!
And when you hook a fish, the whole reel bends in a beautiful arc, and you can enjoy a satisfying pull even with a small horse mackerel. If you hook a large target such as a horse mackerel over 10cm, you will be on edge! Of course, if you can hold the line, you will be able to catch it properly, but since the power balance with the target is almost equal, it is so much fun to fight with each fish.

Features

  • ■ Blank
Equipped with a highly elastic short solid tip with a tip diameter of 0.6 mm that combines "tension sensitivity" and "resonance sensitivity" at a high level.
The belly is primarily constructed from 33-ton carbon that combines the high-strength, high-elasticity carbon fiber "TORAYCA® T1100G" with "Nanoalloy® technology," achieving an excellent balance of tension and strength while remaining ultra-lightweight.
The butt is mainly composed of 33 ton carbon, the same as the belly, and 40 ton carbon, which has a higher elasticity, giving it tension that improves operating response, but by winding it with a low taper and slender shape, it emphasizes smooth flex under high loads, improving the casting feel of lightweight rigs and shock absorption for light lines.
In addition, by deliberately omitting the four-axis reinforcement from the butt to the grip, we have pursued even greater lightness and smoother flexibility.
In order to make the most of the sensitivity of the blanks, the decorative winding on the winding check area has been eliminated, and everything except the separate logo area is left unpainted and unsanded.

  • ■ Guide system
Compared to the same size SiC ring guide, the titanium frame torzite ring guide has a wider inner diameter due to the thinness of the ring and the characteristics of the ring surface improve the line's sliding.By actively adopting this, we have been able to reduce the guide size by one class compared to conventional guides without sacrificing any distance.
The top guide, which is prone to causing angles to the line, is fitted with a titanium frame SiC ring LF guide (T-LFSG-3) with a gentle ring cross-sectional shape to prevent the line from being given a sharp angle. From the tip to the butt, a titanium frame Torzite ring KT guide (T-KTTG 3, 3, 3, 3.5, 4.5,) is used. A Torzite ring KL guide (T-KLTG5.5L) is used to reduce the height difference between the KT guide and the base guide, and a Torzite ring AT guide (T-ATTG12) is used for the base guide.
In addition, the amount of winding and coating on each guide thread is kept to a minimum, and the top guide does not have any thread wound on it, only smoothing out the unevenness, resulting in a thoroughly ultra-lightweight and ultra-high sensitivity setting.
  • ■ Joint
With a focus on smooth bend curves and lightweight design, we have adopted a put-over joint that is set to the minimum necessary length.
  • ■ Grip design
Ultra-lightweight foregrip with quattro cross carbon sleeve only.
  • The Fuji IPS reel seat + ultra-small, high-quality cork center grip provides excellent sensitivity transmission due to the large contact area with the sensitive base of the palm, a comfortable grip that feels like there is nothing in the hand, allowing you to maintain concentration, and a firm grip when fighting.
  • The EVA end grip is designed to be as light as possible, leaving only the necessary grip for casting, to eliminate shaking caused by the weight of the end of the rig. The grip end is fitted with an ultra-light Superior original end plate.
Both the cork center grip and EVA end grip are specially designed with sizes optimized for different uses.
  • ■ Grip length
  • ■ Grip internal structure
The use of an ultra-hard original arbor further improves sensitivity transmission. In addition, the use of a blank-through structure simplifies the internal structure, making it lighter and improving sensitivity transmission.
