We wanted to create a rod that would pleasantly surprise and exceed expectations. This sentiment is embodied in the name.
Amberjack strives to use every rod we handle in the field to provide neutral impressions. Through this process, we met Takami Technos builder Uehara-san, used every model in the MOZ series, and fell in love with solid carbon rods.

For the Renegade, we've based it on the MOZ LM (Low Modulus) but added more power to the butt section than a regular LM, incorporating elements of the HM to create the "AJ store manager's favorite action." [The MOZ LM blank has been specially designed with a completely new taper. It's a rod that improves operability and won't break even when bent to its limits.]

To improve sensitivity, which is a weak point of solid rods, the two guides on the butt section are equipped with Daiwa's AGS carbon guides . Furthermore, the grip uses a large-diameter cork rubber grip , which is less slippery even when wet and has improved durability. The color is based on combat gray with red accents. Each rod is carefully assembled, a no-compromise HAND MADE IN OSAKA product.

Representative Uehara and the shop owner are still friends who go fishing or hang out together four times a year. They discuss the next interesting product development based on what they are currently doing. It's not just business; pursuing themes that inspire each other helps determine the right direction. Mr. Uehara, who has helped Takami Technos grow into an iconic brand to the point where it is said that when people think of solid carbon rods in Japan, thank you as always.
