The third installment of the Dear Monster GIGAS series. This long-awaited model compatible with baitcasting (double-axis) reels is based on the MGX-∞S "GT Gorilla" blank, which bends to catch fish, and is reconstructed with a more free-thinking approach.
Development began with the desire of its creator, Monster Kiss's president, Kozuka, to "take on ocean giants like GT, yellowtail, and tuna with a baitcasting reel." The rod is designed for casting by gripping the front grip (using the tip as the fulcrum) and is longer (8'6") than spinning models (8'3" standard). The distance from the water surface to the top guide is consistent, ensuring the lure's water interaction (action) is the same. Not only does it fulfill the baitcasting reel's particular style and preference, it also offers more strategic options, such as casting large lures (over 250g) that can be stressful with spinning reels, and using long leaders (when using a reel without a level winder). For vertical fishing and deep-sea fishing with an electric reel, the "flexible" blank provides a feel comparable to existing deep-sea rods (the strongest class). Its ultimate use is to catch "deep monster fish" over a meter long from depths of over 2000m with a 4kg weight load, and it is also suitable from the perspective of its structural characteristics that allow the rear grip to come out (making it easy to move when fixed to the rod stand).
In addition to the standard uses mentioned above, this rod also offers more advanced uses. This is possible only because it's a mobile rod (50cm folded length), and the "replaceable tip" system that has been offered for all MGX series rods has been expanded even more. While the spinning model required replacing the tip (#1), this model allows you to start replacing from the belly (#2). The ultra-thick tip, with a 7mm tip diameter and the stiffest guides currently available (Fuji guides HN12mm/pipe diameter 7mm), is designed to handle the giant bait game that is evolving like a Galapagos in Japan. At 6'10" ft in short mode, anyone can comfortably cast and cast lures up to around 1kg, and depending on the user, lures up to 2kg can now be used in actual fishing.
Furthermore, the experimental extension butt "MGX-PROGRESS42G" (equipped with Fuji MN 20mm guides) is included as standard at the strong request of testers. When attached, the standard/long mode extends from 8'6" to 9'11", and the extra-hard/short mode extends from 6'10" to 8'2", allowing for a total of four lengths to be used. The standard/longest mode 9'11" specification will be useful in situations with high footing or difficult structure at the base, while the extra-hard/long mode 8'2" specification will pave the way for a new era of fishing that is still in its infancy, such as shark casting (lure fishing for sharks).
"MGX-∞∞ "Giant Syndrome""... The sub-name "Giant Syndrome" can be loosely translated as "giant fish addiction" or "gigantic lure syndrome." The desire to catch giant fish is limitless, and travelers' challenges are endless. This class of sturdy rod can be stored in a backpack at 50cm... Even monster fish and super-giant fish that were previously thought to be catching only with bait may now respond to super-sized lures (giant baits).
You will be the first in the world to try it.

Under Fifty Concept (U50)

The global standard for carry-on luggage on an airplane is 60cm in length. Taking into consideration the size of the packing and case, the optimal solution, as proven through countless travels, is to leave an additional 10cm of space. Taking into consideration the circumstances of land routes such as the Shinkansen and express buses, all Monster Kiss rods are designed with a storage dimension of 50cm or less, so that they can fit into carry-on suitcases, not to mention backpacks.

Joint Protect Layering (JPL)

The joint section is layered with protective prepreg on both the convex and concave sides. Rather than the traditional method of "carving and joining" long blanks, this method "combines" short blanks reinforced on both ends, making it a "blank designed specifically for mobile rods." This change in thinking dramatically improves durability.

Since 2012
Edge Guide Architecture (EGA)

The joint section is strengthened by placing the guide at the end of the blank and tightening it with threads from the outside. The joint section is not visible between the guides, making it visually refined. EGA's architecture, which begins with guide placement, is different from conventional rods, which adjust the guide position to match the blank, from the design concept stage.

All W-Foot Guide Setting (AWF)

This rod's design goes against the two key concepts of modern fishing rods: "lightweight" and "high sensitivity." The emphasis is not on simple fishing performance, but on demonstrating and continuing to demonstrate that performance around the world. It would be pointless if it broke before even being used. The peace of mind of being able to handle it roughly during actual use will unleash the angler's hidden potential.

All W-Wrapping Guide Setting (AWW)

This guide setting involves wrapping thread under the blank and then wrapping the guide in a double-wrapped configuration. The underwrapped thread prevents damage to the carbon blank by the metal guide, and acts as a spacer to provide a stronger bond. It also improves durability against sudden impacts, long fights, and aging.

W Interchangeable System D13&16 (WICS-D13&16) / Double Interchangeable System D13&16

The diameter of the grip insertion section is in the 16mm range, and the tip section (with "Dear Monster" printed on the convex side) is in the 13mm range, making it a double standard. You can freely combine blanks, grips, and extension parts within the same Monster Kiss mobile rod specifications (D13, D16).

Adaptive Tip System (ATS)

Variable Length System (VLS)

This system allows you to change the length by inserting or removing the extension shaft. Not only does it expand the length, but it also changes the sense of power, dramatically expanding the range of situations it can handle.

Module Grip Concept (MGC)

The "unit" that was previously simply called the "grip" has been broken down into its constituent parts (modules). There's the "reel seat" that secures the reel, the "grip end" that serves as the contact point when casting and fighting, and the "separate section" that adjusts the feel of the action...how you reconstruct it is up to you.
