Depending on the material content and quality control environment, fluorocarbon lines can have varying degrees of roughness on their surface. Mastiff uses 100% fluorocarbon as its material, which is consistently manufactured and controlled in Japan. By setting strict quality standards and thoroughly managing the factory, we have succeeded in minimizing variations in quality.

When examining the surface irregularities of the line down to the micron level, we succeeded in creating a significantly smoother surface compared to conventional products. This results in a smoother release from the spool and less resistance when passing through the guides, leading to a more stable feel and improved casting distance.

Our unique special processing technology, NanoArmor, is applied to the deepest layer at the nano level, which is invisible to human fingertips and eyes. The extremely finely formed uneven layer interlocks with each other when the line is tied to a lure or hook, suppressing slippage at the knot. This makes it easier to maintain the line's original performance when tying knots.

The NanoArmor reduces the risk of line breakage during instantaneous stretching that occurs during hooking and fighting, as well as during sudden dives when fighting a fish. NanoArmor also reduces the stress on the knots that constantly occurs during rod work such as twitching and jerking, and when casting large lures in lure fishing.
