This pencil popper inherits the know-how cultivated at KEIKO OCEAN for targeting large fish.
Previous KEIKO OCEAN POPPERs had a nearly flat cup. The KEIKO OCEAN POPPER Rv.185 has evolved into a deep cup, approximately 10mm deep, while the 235 is approximately 13mm deep.
Its greatest feature is that when it dives underwater, it emits a large amount of bubbles, creating a loud bubbling sound that attracts not only deep-sea GTs, but also tuna and large bluefish. With long jerks, it swims, pulling jet bubbles.
Its body shape allows for excellent long-distance casting, making it ideal for casting games targeting large fish. Its wire-through construction ensures high strength. Handcrafted by master craftsman Hideyuki Tanaka, it uses natural wood with high buoyancy and minimal variation in specific gravity balance.

*The 185 uses a 2mm wire + swivel system that will be compatible with bluefin tuna from August 2022 onwards.
*The 235 uses a 2mm wire + swivel system.
*We recommend using a thick treble hook 2/0 for the 185 and 4/0 or 5/0 for the 235.
