All guides are made with rust-resistant, tough, and lightweight T2 polished dark gray titanium frame SiC guides. All guides except the top guide, which requires the most strength, feature lightweight, thin SiC-S rings. The butt and middle sections feature optimized sizes of T2-KLSG-H, T2-KLSG-M, and T2-KLSG-L, while the tip section is equipped with a T2-KTSG and the top guide is equipped with a T2-KGST. This rod delivers even lighter weight, sharper casting performance, and superior sensitivity while reducing line trouble. The butt guide size is #25S, and the top guide sizes are LLMS Power #5.5J and LMS Power #6J.

All guides except the top guide, which requires the most strength, feature lightweight, thin SiC-S rings. The butt section features the ultra-lightweight T2-LRVSG with a short double foot that doesn't interfere with the rod's action. The middle and tip sections are made with T2-KBSG and T2-KTSG guides, and the top guide is a T2-KGST. This cutting-edge, ultra-lightweight, small-diameter guide configuration optimizes the rod's natural bending for smooth casting, superior strength, sensitivity, and casting distance. The butt guide size is #12S, and the top guide size is #6J.
Fuji® ORIGINAL PAINT REEL SEATS & EVA GRIP
The compact foregrip and rear grip are set to the optimal length to balance optimal power support and rod operation when casting. The reel seat is painted in a glossy gunmetal color, and the aluminum check is all black anodized, exclusive to the Black Collection. The grip material is EVA, which can be safely washed with water after use in saltwater.

This original saltwater end cap combines practicality and beauty. Designed for double-handed casting, it offers an easy grip when casting with saltwater rods. Its weight is just right, not too heavy so as not to impede the rod's maneuverability, acting as a balancer for long rods. The aluminum hardware and rubber parts are joined with a complex internal structure for ample strength and rigidity. The end, prone to scratches during field use, is securely protected by the original rubber part. Even indoors, the rubber prevents the rod from tipping over, even on slippery surfaces like flooring. Exclusive to the Black Collection, the front of the black anodized aluminum hardware features a laser engraving of TAPER & SHAPE, while the rubber part at the end features a three-dimensional molded design trademark.
NONPAINT FERALITE FERRULE
The joints use a ferrite ferrule type, which offers many benefits when designing the taper, such as a sharper action even with the same curve and less power loss. The joints are intentionally left unpainted, eliminating errors caused by paint film thickness and improving precision, while also utilizing the excellent bite of the blank material for a smooth and reliable connection and disconnection. The unpainted sections are left slightly visible when joined together. The model number is also printed on the tip section, making it easy to select when combining multiple rods.
ROD BAG
Taper and Shape strongly recommends storing your rods in the included rod bag when storing or transporting them. This prevents scratches on the blank, which can cause rod damage, when not in the field. The two gray fastening straps have rubber on the back, so if the joint becomes difficult to remove, you can grab the rod blank with the rubber side and loosen it without slipping. Each model is sized specifically for each rod, allowing for neat and tidy storage. The bag also has a loop at the end, so you can hang the rod with the grip facing downwards to avoid straining the rod, even with glass rods, which can easily become bent.
