V.NODE System
The blank design unique to "Maki mono" features a very large taper ratio from tip to butt, and further increases in thickness as it steps. The only challenge in creating blanks with this unique taper design was insufficient tape pressure in the butt section during firing. The "V.NODE System," named after "V. = Valuable NODE," resolves this issue and enables the creation of a denser blank with more precise tightening. The tip-to-middle section and the butt section are manufactured separately, and the blanks, each fired with optimal taping, are internally joined with short spigots. The joint is reinforced with lightweight, thin aluminum fittings and is made into a one-piece blank with a natural curve. Furthermore, this joint plays the same role as a "bamboo joint," providing strength in the direction of crushing, and giving the thick, thin blank effective crush strength and power. In addition, although the weight of the blank itself has increased slightly compared to conventional models, the precisely tightened blank allows for a significant reduction in the number of undercoat coatings, and the finished weight has been successfully reduced to the same level as conventional models. The V. Node System solves manufacturing challenges while improving performance, allowing the blank's inherent performance to be fully realized. This is a meticulously crafted technology unique to Taper & Shape, which has pursued the performance of glass rods for many years.

ORIGINAL ALUMINUM + RUBBER END CAP
This original silver aluminum rod with a rubber end cap combines functionality and beauty. The end section, which is prone to scratches during field use, is securely protected by the rubber part. Even indoors, the rubber prevents the rod from tipping over when placed on slippery surfaces such as flooring, hardwood, or plastic caps. The aluminum fitting front is laser-engraved with "TAPER&SHAPE," and the rubber end section features a three-dimensional molded trademark that is a mark of the designer.

Optimal line convergence and weight reduction achieve sharp, wobble-free long-cast performance and excellent sensitivity, even with a glass rod. Butt guide size #25S, top guide size #4.5J.
MULTIPLE SILKSCREEN PRINTED LOGO
The multi-silkscreen printed logo has become the new design icon for the Taper & Shape rods. For the Maki Mono V and V-SP, the new dark gray metallic blank color is underprinted with gunmetal silver ink. On top of that, the Glassway logo and the Taper & Shape logo are printed in silver. The result is a cool and stylish design that matches the refined, traditional gray blank. The opposite side features the "Valuable NODE System" and the Authentic Line exclusive logo.
SLIT STYLE ROD BAG
Taper & Shape strongly recommends storing your rods in the included rod bag when storing or transporting them. This effectively prevents scratches on the blank, which can cause rod damage, outside of the field. The included slit-style rod bag allows you to store your rods with the reel attached, eliminating the hassle of setup. When transporting multiple rods in your car, you can put them in the rod bag and then bundle them together with the rod belt, eliminating the unpleasant noise caused by rods rubbing against each other. When storing, you can hang the rod with the grip facing downwards using the loop at the end of the bag to avoid putting stress on the rod, ensuring that even fiberglass rods, which are prone to deformation, are safe.
