Fluctus S68ML Straw Setting

A rod for enjoying casting tai rubber to the fullest.

Hello everyone. This is Uemura from Awaji Island Tourist Hotel Awakan and fishing guide service Turn The Tide. I
've been tasked with overseeing the development of TULALA's casting red snapper rod, the Fluctus S68ML, and have been conducting extensive testing. This rod
is a spinning red snapper rod.

It's designed for comfortable casting with a 30-60g rod, but can also handle 80g when the current is strong.
The grip end length is short for retrieval when used in conjunction with the cast, but long for retrieval and fighting, making it a nuisance during casting.
Taking into account the stiffness of the blank, we've achieved an excellent balance during casting, retrieval, and fighting, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Furthermore, the blank has a firm tension, eliminating any wobble after casting and clearly conveying bites immediately after hitting the bottom. While
the blank may feel a little stiff at first, once you get used to it, the excellent casting feel becomes addictive.
Yet, once a fish is hooked and weight is applied, the rod absorbs the force of the fish, a testament to TULALA quality.

Of course, the butt section remains strong, allowing for worry-free fighting even with large sea bream.
The target fish is, of course, red sea bream! However, during testing, I also enjoyed fighting with Japanese horse mackerel-class fish that were close to yellowtail without any worries.
While this rod was designed primarily for casting red snapper lures, it is also highly versatile and can be easily used for vertical red snapper lures. It
also works well with SLJ lures ranging from 30 to 80g.
The main target fish is sea bream (from Japanese sardines to large red snappers and bluefish (from Japanese horse mackerel)).

[About the lures and fishing areas] The main purpose is to use
red snapper lures in areas with a moderate amount of bait and where the anglers can aggressively chase bait, at depths of 10 to 40 meters from early summer to autumn.
The main target for tai rubber lures is designed for use with 45-60g lures, and they are particularly effective when the current is slack and vertical casting is not an effective way to target specific areas.
Furthermore, in situations under 30 meters where fish are likely to feel the pressure of the boat, it's clear that a horizontal cast, rather than a vertical cast, is necessary to allow the fish to follow the lure comfortably from a point further away from the boat. This is where I particularly recommend using a casting tai rubber lure!
(Of course, it's also comfortable for shallow vertical seaweed patterns in the winter at 20-30 meters and deep vertical fishing in the early spring at 60-80 meters.)
Line settings are similar to those for vertical fishing, but considering the casting load (when making full casts like I do), I don't recommend using lines smaller than 0.6, which are becoming more common these days.
I recommend 0.8 or 1, with a 12-16 pound leader.

Considering the situations in which casting red snapper lures can be practiced, it may be difficult to do so on large shared boats where red snapper lures are the norm.
I think the main users will be those who want to stick to their own style on charter trips or with a small group, or those who want to enjoy their favorite fishing style freely on their own boat.
However, since this rod is easy to use even in vertical fishing, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique rod to try.
In early spring, deep points can easily handle 100g red snapper lures at 70-80 meters.
Finally, I believe the realization of the casting red snapper lure rod I wanted to achieve came about for the following reason.
When I watch my customers fishing, I often think, "If I cast it further, I'll catch more!"
Even though they say they're casting red snapper lures, most of them probably only cast it a short distance (about 20 meters)
. I've actually used several casting red snapper rods, and I think it's because they want to cast it further but are worried that it might break or snap.
This is a rod that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys casting tai rubber while feeling that sensation.
For those who want to try true casting tai rubber. You can cast this rod with ease. Let's go beyond casting tai rubber ♪

Thank you very much!
