The D-Coax has a shiftable center of gravity. This has two aims. When cast, the center of gravity is concentrated in the tail, achieving a quick fall speed.

At the desired range, one action moves the tungsten weight to the center, and with a slight input, it seduces the target with a fluttering, inertial slide in a horizontal position that clings to the current.

The flat sides of the body emphasize the "glaring" feeling. The extremely flat belly creates resistance to the fall, preventing sudden sinking during the action and reducing snagging. A shiftable center of gravity heavy sinking minnow has been born for the skilled angler who takes their time to lure the fish.
