Aiming to maintain high initial performance for a long time, this next-generation design concept for baitcasting (double-axis) reels significantly raises the bar on all basic performance. The Hyper Drive design is comprised of up to four technologies. Hyper Drive Digigear, which maintains smooth rotation for a long time, is a prerequisite, and Hyper Double Support assists the gear drive for strong, light reeling. Hyper Armed Housing provides strong support for the internal structure, making it less likely to bend or warp. Hyper Tough Clutch with an insulated structure continues to operate even in harsh locations, dramatically reducing adhesion caused by salt buildup. The synergistic effect of these features ensures consistent performance in any field.

A newly designed gear system that pursues sustained, strong and smooth rotation. By increasing the meshing rate without reducing the gear tooth module (size), which directly affects durability, DAIWA's proprietary technology ensures that initial smoothness is maintained for a long time.

HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT
A drive support system that achieves sustained smoothness and strong, light reeling. Both ends of the pinion gear are supported with high precision by two ball bearings, which prevents attenuation of input from the handle and enables powerful, light reeling even under load.

HYPER ARMED HOUSING (FULL AL)
The housing system firmly supports the internal structure with high rigidity and precision, producing a precise reeling feel and power. The use of metal for the frame, which is the key element, is a necessary condition, and when combined with the side plate and set plate, it makes it possible to continue to demonstrate basic performance for an even longer period of time.
This series uses aluminum alloy for the frame, gear side plate, and dial side set plate, resulting in a full metal housing that is unparalleled in robustness and strength.

HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH

The spool is made of 36mm high-strength aluminum and features the MAG-Z BOOST technology. After extensive field testing, we selected high-strength aluminum. This rod delivers long-distance casting performance by ensuring the necessary inertia for carrying medium- to heavy-weight lures. The redesigned spool shape optimizes the line winding. These synergistic effects enable the smooth trajectory and exhilarating casting feel characteristic of the LC Concept. Two gear ratios are available: 5.3 (59cm per handle rotation) for deep cranks, magnum cranks, large flying lures, and even mid-water dead-walking and cranking big baits; and 7.3 (82cm per handle rotation) for deep-water fishing requiring a high gear ratio or for maneuverability with big baits. The heavyweight-oriented reeling style provides a comfortable feel. The 7.3 gear ratio (150H/HL) model is equipped with a 100mm long handle and Powerlite M medium knob. Special specifications support easy reeling even with reeling jerks and heavy loads. This rod meets the requirements of being compatible with thick lines (20lb nylon - 100m, PE No. 4 - 100m) to prevent the risk of breaking large lures when casting. Naturally, it also meets the needs of saltwater fishing. |
