AIRDRIVE DESIGN
Air Drive Design is a next-generation spinning reel design concept that pursues the angler's desire to control lures exactly as they wish. Air Drive Design is comprised of up to four technologies. Its prerequisite is the Air Drive Rotor, which produces light winding and highly responsive rotation. It also features a lightweight, trouble-free Air Drive Bail, a thin-walled Air Drive Spool with minimal unnecessary material, and an Air Drive Shaft with a high-precision collar supporting the main shaft and a non-contact structure with the pinion gear, enabling light winding with extremely little rotational noise even under heavy loads. The synergistic effect of these technologies, combined with the improved weight balance of the reel, delivers a high level of operability.

AIRDRIVE ROTOR
Using our unique theory, we have derived a new shape that is as if it were cut out of a sphere, and by thoroughly removing unnecessary material, we have achieved a significant weight reduction while maintaining rigidity.This has resulted in a dramatic improvement in the lightness of the reel's winding, which leads to improved operability and sensitivity.
AIRDRIVE BAIL
The Air Bail, which has adopted a hollow pipe structure that provides rigidity and lightness, has been made even lighter by reducing the diameter while maintaining the necessary strength. The bail angle is set to an optimal angle that allows the line to transition more smoothly from the bail to the line roller. This has resulted in even lighter weight and less trouble.
ZAION V
Lighter and stronger reels. Zaion V (V) is a carbon hybrid resin developed for that purpose. By precisely controlling the amount of carbon used in the hybrid, we have achieved a lightness that surpasses that of metal, while achieving high levels of strength comparable to that of metal, while also providing versatility that allows it to be mounted on a wide range of reels. It inherits the essence of Zaion, which could be said to be the maximum spec of carbon hybrid resin.
MAGSEALED
DAIWA's unique waterproof structure creates a wall of magnetic mag oil in the gap between the body and rotor, shutting out seawater, dust, and other elements.

TOUGH DIGIGEAR
To withstand harsh environments, a reel needs a strong heart to support it. "Tough Digigear" keeps rotation smooth for longer.
ATD TYPE-L
