A native trout rod that has mastered the flow

For trout lovers, every stream where wild trout lurk is special. The Cardiff Stream Premium is the ultimate trout rod for those native fields. The grip is easy to hold, with an optimized length and shape for each model, and is made of natural wood and aluminum parts that become more beautiful with use. In the sunlight filtering through the trees in the valley, the blank, which uses Spiral X Core and High Power X, shines with a faint silvery glow. In addition to the classic numbers that are useful in mountain streams, the lineup includes a 4-piece pack model made of glass composite that is highly portable and a SUL power model that is good at handling lighter lures. There are 13 models in total, including a main river model that is ideal for monster hunting.

Fishing for trout, fishing in special streams. Weave a story with this rod.

Sometimes violent, sometimes gentle. Why is fishing for trout that live in rivers where no two flows are the same and where the current is constantly changing, so much fun? Cardiff Stream Premium is a special rod series for anglers who travel through various rivers, including mountain streams, headwaters, midstreams, and main streams, fascinated by the brilliance and strength of a wild fish polished by the pure current. This new Cardiff elite rod has been perfected to maximize the joy of fighting with a trout that moves with the current, with operability that allows the angler to closely communicate with the lure at the end of the line in a complex and changing current, and casting performance that does not miss the target line.

We want this rod to be worthy of the green valleys and noble trout.

Blanks color that blends into the scenery

The main features of the stream are the large trees with many rings, the clear, pale blue stream, and the beautiful fish. Therefore, the Cardiff Stream Premium is naturally finished as a rod with a calm tone that is not too flashy. The blank color is black, which blends in with the scenery, and the gold logo shines modestly at the butt. And yet, the silver gradation from the butt end to the logo asserts a personality not seen in the Cardiff series so far. The shine is as faint as the morning mist that covers the surface of the river in the early morning, giving it an elegance befitting a tool used by trout fishermen who learn to be quiet in the field every day.

Warm natural wood suits trout

Wood is the perfect material for the grip of a trout rod used in lush green fields. The reel seat is made of natural wood, which fits comfortably in the hand in any situation and is easy on the eyes. As an accent, a ring of the same natural wood is placed at the end of the grip, highlighting the texture of the cork grip, the length and tapered shape of which are optimized for each club. The natural wood reel seat of the S48UL-G/4 to S64L is shaped narrowly to make it easier to hold. In addition, the cork grip is reinforced in the right places with compressed cork, ensuring durability for long-term use in all models. You can enjoy the richness of the time you have spent together in the field as it changes over time.

Metal parts that reflect the valley

Aluminum is used for the end badge engraved with the logo, the winding check on the front grip, and the components of the reel seat. The appeal of these metal parts is that they create a gradation of light and dark depending on the amount of light, and when you dive into a deep valley, they reflect the rocky surface of the gorge, and when you are in the open midstream above, they reflect the refreshing blue sky. When you line up the rod next to a fish you have caught, the rod becomes a part of the scenery without any sense of incongruity, highlighting the beauty of the trout. The aluminum parts of the reel seat also use the same color as the Calcutta Conquest BFS. This has achieved a sense of unity in tackle that has never been seen before.

The blank and guide design are the heart of a trout rod. No compromise on performance.

Spiral X Core and High Power X for high precision casting

Unlike still water, when fishing in a "flowing" current, even a slight deviation in the landing point can have a decisive effect on the tracing trajectory, so a rod with excellent cast accuracy is essential. The Cardiff Stream Premium has a Spiral X-core and High Power X-structure that thoroughly eliminates crushing and twisting of the blank when casting. The rod can be swung without twisting no matter what angle you swing your arm from, and the tip's shaking width immediately after release is suppressed, so the lure can reach the target spot straight. The release point is always stable even when shooting at small spots continuously, or when aiming for a second bite on the same tracing line for a single fish that did not bite. It is easy to cast accurately and with high repeatability.

X-Guide/X-Guide Aero's ultimate casting feel

The flexibility and lightness of the tip also play a major role in determining the accuracy of the cast. Therefore, the tip of all models, except for the top guide, is equipped with a sturdy yet lightweight X-guide. The lure's weight can be clearly felt in the hand when casting, allowing for the release of the lure at just the right timing to match the tip's rebound as it is released. In addition, for the S64L, S72L, and S74ML spinning reels for mid- to main stream areas, the X-guide Aero has been selected, which reduces air resistance when casting by making the frame cross-section round. Even in harsh conditions where you have to keep casting into a headwind, your arms will not easily become fatigued, and you will be able to enjoy the ultimate casting feel that cuts through the air. Both the X-guide and X-guide Aero are designed to prevent the line from getting tangled, which reduces trouble.

The 4-piece pack rod is made of carefully selected UD glass

This time, there are two models of 4-piece pack rods in the lineup. Both are glass composite rods that use "UD glass" which has little resin that becomes excess fat on the blank, and they exquisitely blend the excellent cast accuracy common to this series with the tenacity and flexibility of glass. The lightweight blank made possible by UD glass is characterized by a swing feel that does not feel dull. It bends sufficiently with a small input of turning the wrist, and is particularly compatible with lightweight minnows. Even with a compact form, it can be freely cast with initial speed, and it shows its true value in the Bossa River and headwaters where it is difficult to secure casting space. Of course, the bend after hitting is also beautiful.

The seamless fighting seat CI4+ allows you to immerse yourself in the battle with the fish

Reflecting the current situation where the use of baitcasting reels has become commonplace, baitcasting models are available in all lengths from the headwaters to the mainstream. Regardless of whether they are round or low-profile, all models are equipped with the "Seamless Fighting Seat CI4+" that is easy to operate with one or three fingers, and the stress-free gripping is attractive and sets them apart from conventional trout baitcasting rods. The reel seat structure is characterized by the smooth shape formed using highly rigid and lightweight CI4+ material, and the front slide hood overlaps along the shape of the seat body. There are no seams that come into contact with your hand, so there is no noise when you grip it, and you feel no pain until you leave the stream. You can immerse yourself in the flow in front of you and the battle with the fish.

A total of 13 models for chasing trout in mountain streams, midstreams, and main streams.

The S54UL and B54UL are well-balanced in terms of operability, accuracy, and long-distance casting performance for various light and heavy lures. They are particularly good at up-close fishing with heavy sinking minnows of around 4g, making them the most versatile models in mountain streams. The S54SUL and B54SUL are the first super ultra-light and powerful items in Cardiff's native series, which are good at handling light lures such as balsa and slow-sinking minnows. They have a flexible bend from the belly to the butt, and are highly sensitive, making them ideal for delicate drift fishing that makes full use of line slack. They are also difficult to spot for shallow-hooked fish. The S48UL-G/4 and B48UL-G/4 are 4-piece pack rods made of glass composite. In order to improve the disadvantages of glass composite rods that require flexibility, such as rod shaking when casting and dullness when operating lures, UD glass is combined with Spiral X Core and High Power X.

The S60UL and B60UL are two models developed for targeting 10cm+ yamame trout and amago trout, as well as 40cm+ returning yamame trout and satsukimasu trout in mountain streams and midstreams. The blanks feature a soft tip that can delicately lure tough large fish with a lightweight minnow, and a hard belly that can handle heavy sinking minnows of around 6cm down, giving them the strength to handle rainbow trout in small rivers. The S64L and B64L are targeted at large yamame trout and satsukimasu trout in more open mountain streams and main streams. They have the power and tenacity to withstand 50cm-class rainbow trout, and the tip is flexible to reduce missed bites. They are also suitable for fishing in lakes where easy handling is required.

The S72L is a midstream to mainstream rod designed for large yamame trout and satsukimasu trout, as well as 50cm-class rainbow trout and cherry salmon. It has a "soft tube top" design that provides moderate tension while not knocking away valuable bites from the tip. The S74ML and B74ML are big trout models aimed at mainstream cherry salmon and large rainbow trout. With a light 7'4" length, you can control lures such as medium divers, spoons, and vibrations just as you imagine. It is also suitable for fishing where you twitch a minnow to make it flutter and elicit a reaction from a wary monster. The blanks are newly designed with moderate cushioning from the belly to the butt section in anticipation of the use of PE line. The B74ML bait model, combined with the winding power of a bait reel, can easily send a deep diver down the rapids.
