HYPERDRIVE DESIGN
The next-generation design concept for baitcasting (double-axis) reels, which significantly improves the standard of all basic performance with the aim of maintaining high initial performance for a long time. The Hyper Drive design is composed of up to four technologies. The Hyper Drive Digigear, which maintains smooth rotation for a long time, is a prerequisite, and the Hyper Double Support assists the gear drive to provide strong and light winding. The Hyper Armed Housing strongly supports the internal structure and is resistant to bending and distortion. The Hyper Tough Clutch with an insulating structure continues to operate even in harsh locations and greatly reduces adhesion due to salt. HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR
A newly designed gear system that pursues sustained strong and smooth rotation. This is DAIWA's unique technology that achieves an increased meshing rate without reducing the module (size) of the gear teeth, which directly affects durability, allowing the initial smoothness to be maintained for a long time.
HYPER ARMED HOUSING (AL)
The housing system firmly supports the internal structure with high rigidity and precision, producing a precise winding feel and power. The use of metal materials for the frame, which is the essential requirement, is a prerequisite, and in combination with the side plate and set plate, it makes it possible to continue to exert basic performance for an even longer period of time.
This model uses aluminum for the frame and gear side plate, resulting in a tough housing specification that can handle power games.
HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH
Not only does this clutch system have crisp on/off performance that continues to slide thousands or tens of thousands of times, but it also has extremely few problems even in seawater with high salinity. Its cutting-edge insulation structure has already reduced the number of repairs due to sticking in harsh saltwater environments by 99% compared to our previous model.
MAGFORCE
Fixed Inductor Rotor, the origin of DAIWA's perfected non-contact electromagnetic induction brakes
MAGFORCE is the simplest structure among the non-contact electromagnetic induction brakes that DAIWA has been developing since 1982. This brake system utilizes the law of electromagnetic induction, where eddy currents are generated when the inductor rotor rotates in a magnetic field, and a force acts in the opposite direction to the rotation. The inductor rotor is fixed, and the brake force adjusted by the dial is always stable and effective. This is an advantage of the system, and it is installed on some reels.
TWS (T-WING SYSTEM)
TWS has succeeded in significantly reducing the resistance of the line guide close to the spool where the spool rotation speed is the highest. By reducing the resistance to the casting distance, not only is the casting distance and controllability improved, but the fall is also faster and backlash is reduced. This has realized the possibility of a new level wind not only when winding but also when casting.
LC-Concept
The brake concept has excellent long-distance casting performance and an exhilarating
casting feel, realizing an extension in the latter half of the cast. It is especially suited to medium and heavy lures, and the sharper you swing the rod, the longer the casting distance will be. The sporty and exhilarating casting feel is also a major attraction of the LC concept.
Zero Adjuster
First, adjust the "zero adjuster" and set the "zero spool rattle" setting. Thanks to the evolution of the magnetic brake, it is now possible to control all lures with just the mag dial.
The "zero adjuster" is a mechanism that adjusts to the "zero setting" before starting fishing, so that you can enjoy fishing comfortably without any malfunctions during fishing.
*The "zero spool rattle" setting is the setting that does not push the spool while leaving a slight rattle (about 0.2 mm).
UTD (Ultimate Tournament Drag)
This is DAIWA's drag system that eliminates the initial bite when the drag first starts to work, achieving a smooth drag without any sticking (unevenness), while also providing maximum drag power the more you tighten it.

Also suitable for saltwater. The non-resistance range of the line is greatly expanded. This means it flies well, has better control, falls faster, and has less backlash. The TWS improves all the basic performance of a baitcasting reel.

■ New TWS installed
Newly designed tapered TWS that further improves the line release during casting.
Compared to the TWS that comes standard with the Φ34mm spool, the opening has been expanded by approximately 36%.

In the case of the conventional TWS, there were cases where the leader knot part was difficult to pass through the line guide part, especially when using thick PE thread, so in the new TWS, in addition to the tapered shape, the width of the line guide part has been expanded.
DAIWA continues to refine even its one-of-a-kind technology and pursue a casting feel that makes you want to cast one after another.

The pleasure of watching the cast fly anywhere.

It feels like the line has broken and only the lure is flying away. I wonder if I can convey it this way.
This was my first impression of using the TW200 after using the TATULA TW 300 and TW 400 for a while. The casting feeling is completely different. There is no resistance when the spool turns or the feeling of stalling due to the brakes...or rather, it has almost disappeared.
The internal structure of the TW200 is the same as the HYPERDRIVE DESIGN, but I wonder if it can be so different. The compact size may have created a golden ratio that cannot be expressed in numbers. I would like you to experience this for yourself.
In the future, when there are many steps with big baits or giant baits, I think the TW 200, which can be handled lightly, will be the one to go for. With a generous line capacity of 25lb. x 100m, it is also a good size to match with MH or H power rods. The highly versatile specs can be the main axis machine for any power game in bass fishing.

It felt just right, and I wanted it instantly.

I've used the 300 and 400 sizes with large swim baits and plugs, but I felt they were a little too big. But the new 200 size is just right.
It flies well with 3/4 oz spinner baits and bladed swim jigs, as well as deep cranks. It's good with 1/2 oz of each, and I think it's good for big baits up to 2-3 oz. Until now, I've used the 300 size for medium to large big baits, but the 200 size can cover that part.
The basic structure of the TATULA is solid, so there's no problem.
It doesn't feel excessively large when palming. It's also comfortable to reel. When I used it for the first time, I wanted it instantly. The TATULA was originally cool, but now that it's been over 10 years since its birth, it has even better performance, the lineup has expanded, and it's extremely easy to use. With the exception of specialized fishing such as BF fishing, I think it's fair to say that the 100 and 200 sizes can cover most of the fishing I do.
