The Signature Model of Northern Ironman, Yugo Yamada
Featuring an 88mm short-length carbon plate with 5mm thickness, the Signature Model "Yugo Yamada" incorporates a hollow round square knob, developed from Yugo Yamada’s extensive experience.
The adoption of a center nut with an expanded contact area allows the reel’s threads to engage more deeply, enhancing the hold strength. Compared to previous models, this improvement delivers increased sensitivity and rigidity.
Consequently, this model eliminates the need for a retainer to prevent nut loosening.
The plate is crafted from a high-rigidity carbon prepreg sheet, compression-molded into a crank shape, with a refreshed STANDARD PLUS logo design.
For the shaft, instead of using the standard 4φ specification, this model adopts a robust 5φ SUS shaft, focusing on rigidity and designed for saltwater durability.
The handle attachment system and the parts on the back of the plate have been redesigned.
