Making light jigging strategies more accessible.
The Grappler CT is a versatile rod that excels in a wide range of inshore jigging games, primarily light jigging. Its ability to freely control the fall speed, accurately determine the depth, and reproduce strategies gives anglers a significant advantage over its class. The newly redesigned Grappler CT features a new fall lever that prevents the handle from becoming heavy even when the brake is applied, and a new winding distance alarm, further improving usability. While maintaining the rigidity of the HAGANE body and the waterproofness of X-Protect, it has also achieved a weight reduction of 15g, supporting anglers' strategies with unwavering performance.
Key Features
A new fall lever that combines speed control with smooth winding, enabling advanced strategies.

In jigging, the fall is a crucial strategy. Whether it's carefully exploring different depths with a natural fall that blends with the current, or triggering a reaction bite with an undeniable speed fall, effectively structuring the fall is an essential element of modern jigging. The fall lever is a mechanism that applies a brake to the spool's rotation, allowing for one-touch and precise control of the fall speed. Traditionally, sinking speed was adjusted by modifying the jig's weight and shape, or by the angler's thumbing, but this revolutionary mechanism allows for intentionally changing the sinking speed with a lever operation, while also offering high reproducibility. Its effects extend beyond adjusting the speed of the bite; it allows for flexible adjustments within a series of actions, such as changing the sinking speed between different depths to increase the efficiency of the attack, or using a stronger brake to angle the line and pull the jig diagonally. The fall lever used in the 25 Grappler CT is a new type that doesn't make the winding heavy even when the brake is applied. The fall lever supports more strategic and reproducible jigging.
The winding distance alarm supports a more efficient approach.

The Grappler CT's newly installed retrieve distance alarm is a new function that allows anglers to sense the retrieve distance without having to look at the depth display on the counter. Measurement begins from the moment you start reeling after the lure hits the bottom. The alarm sounds up to three times at multiples of the set distance, so you can know the retrieve distance by sound without looking at the counter. For example, with a 5m setting (A-5), the alarm will sound a total of three times at 5m intervals from the bottom up to 15m, informing the angler of the retrieve distance. This function allows anglers to make intuitive judgments by hearing in response to the captain's instructions such as "There's a reaction at ○m from the bottom" or "Raise it up ○m after it hits the bottom," without having to look at the counter. This new function is designed to enhance concentration on the indicated depth when reeling in from the bottom.

Making learning how to wind thread easier.

The line winding learning function stores the relationship between spool rotation and line winding amount in the digital counter and uses this relationship to display the water depth. In addition to the learning function of conventional models, this model is equipped with learning data for PE 0.6/0.8/1.0/1.2/1.5号, which are frequently used in this size.
Regardless of the amount of backing line wound onto the spool, as long as the specified line is wound up to approximately 1 mm from the outer diameter of the spool, it can be used within a practically sufficient margin of error.
*Precautions for use
The specified line learning value is a standard learning value when the specified line (Shimano PE line), including the backing line, is wound to a position of approximately 1 mm from the outermost diameter of the spool. The accuracy may decrease depending on the type of line you actually wind, the line tension, and the outer diameter after winding the line. For more reliable accuracy, please learn using E1, E2, L1, or L2 mode.
Maintaining the same rigid feel while achieving a weight reduction of approximately 15g. HAGANE body & EVA power handle.

Like its predecessor, the reel features a 60mm power handle designed for powerful yet smooth winding. The handle knob is a comfortable, easy-to-grip EVA round type. Combined with the HAGANE body, which is approximately 15g lighter than previous models, this reel allows for even more aggressive jigging.

Features

Level wind linked
The spool and level wind are linked in a specific structure.
The line is released straight, allowing the rig to fall smoothly. The drag also operates smoothly during the fight, providing peace of mind even when using thin lines.

NEW Fall Lever
Improved ease of operation and winding sensitivity. New shape and mechanism for the NEW fall lever.
The new fall lever features a redesigned shape with a recess on the top surface for improved grip. This enhances operability, allowing for instant and precise adjustments as needed, while also maintaining smooth winding thanks to the built-in one-way roller bearing. The light winding feel is not compromised even when fall tension is applied.

EVA power handle specification (60mm)
Winding power and reeling stability have been improved.
This 60mm long reel features an EVA knob. It enables efficient power transmission and powerful winding, and because you can firmly grip the handle knob in your palm, you won't lose power when fighting large fish, giving you a greater sense of security.

Fall speed display
The fall speed is also meticulously controlled.
The fall speed and retrieve speed are displayed on the LCD screen. Since the water depth is also displayed simultaneously, you can accurately understand the bite patterns and the depth at which fish are biting.

Carbon fiber washers
High performance even when using fine threads.
Featuring carbon cross washers that combine smooth initial movement with high durability, the drag starts incredibly smoothly thanks to the synergistic effect with the level wind mechanism. This allows you to easily handle even the powerful runs of large sea bream.
