Tactical Armor

The Ocea Conquest CT features a robust yet smooth drive system with a high-precision metal body and micro-module gears, equipped with a digital counter and fall lever to enable advanced strategies and their reproducibility. The new model features a new fall lever that doesn't become heavy even under tension, and an Infinity Drive, further improving winding lightness and sensitivity. Furthermore, the new line counter, with its expanded viewing angle, is equipped with a winding distance alarm, supporting more precise strategies. Of course, the unshakeable toughness that the Ocea Conquest has built up is fully inherited, including the durability provided by the highly durable clutch and highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel parts, and the waterproof performance of X-PROTECT. With improvements to details such as ease of palming and the readability of the counter, it will meet the expectations of offshore anglers with its meticulously crafted specifications. In addition, MG models have been added to the 200 and 300 sizes, expanding the lineup to cover a wider range of鯛ラバ (tai rubber) games, and XG has been added to the 300 size, further strengthening the options for jigging games.

The newly redesigned Ocea Conquest CT boasts an even smoother and more powerful winding feel, a signature feature of the series. This is thanks to three key technologies: Micro Module Gear, Infinity Drive, and HAGANE Body. The Micro Module Gear, also featured in the previous model, is a sophisticated drive system that improves both smoothness and power by tightly meshing ultra-small, precision gears. The new model combines this gear with Infinity Drive to dramatically reduce rotational resistance. By eliminating noise, it allows for a more sensitive perception of changes in water flow and fish bites. Furthermore, the precise HAGANE Body housing encasing the gears suppresses distortion and firmly protects the gear meshing. Combined with the new design that brings the handle closer to the reel body, the power applied to the handle is transmitted to the gears without loss. It's not just silky smooth, nor just powerful. The blissful rotational feel of the Ocea Conquest CT will transform even the most arduous battles in deep water into a source of joy.

Equipped with new features. The cutting edge of line counter technology.

As many anglers have already experienced, the introduction of line counters to offshore lure fishing has drastically changed underwater strategies such as jigging and鯛ラバ (tai rubber). Previously, water depth tended to be ambiguous, but now it can be accurately determined numerically, allowing anglers to move from relying on intuition to a more logical approach, even in situations where the range is critical or targeting specific fish. The ability to share information with fellow anglers and the captain more concretely and accurately, and the increased reproducibility of successful patterns, are undoubtedly benefits of digital counters. The new line counter installed in the Ocea Conquest CT adds a winding distance alarm to the conventional functions. This allows anglers to know the winding distance from the bottom without having to stare at the counter, enabling them to repeatedly and efficiently trace the necessary range. Regardless of the genre—light jigging, deep-sea fishing, or drift tai rubber fishing—the line counter has now become an essential piece of equipment for offshore baitcasting reels. Here lies the cutting edge of that evolution.

The winding distance alarm supports a more efficient approach.

The newly installed retrieve distance alarm is a new function that allows anglers to sense the retrieve distance without having to look at the depth display on the counter. Measurement begins from the moment the clutch is turned on and retrieval begins. The alarm sounds up to three times at multiples of the set distance, allowing anglers to understand the retrieve distance by sound without looking at the counter. For example, with a setting of 5m (A-5), a notification sound will sound a total of three times at 5m intervals from the bottom up to 15m, informing the angler of the retrieve distance. This function allows anglers to make intuitive judgments by hearing in response to the captain's instructions such as "from depth ○m to ○m" or "raise ○m after hitting the bottom," without having to look at the counter. A new function has been installed to further enhance concentration on the instructed depth when retrieving from the bottom.

The tilt of the counter improves the viewing angle.

The new line counter on the Ocea Conquest CT features a display screen tilted 5° closer to the user than the previous model, improving the viewing angle during fishing, which often involves lowering the rod tip. This also enhances palming comfort. It's a small improvement that you might not notice unless pointed out, but the difference is obvious when comparing them during actual fishing. No matter how insignificant the detail, every aspect that matters is thoroughly reviewed. This uncompromising attitude is what makes the Conquest so easy to use.

Powerful yet compact. A compact S-size body that fits in the palm of your hand.

The new Ocea Conquest features a body width that is 3mm more compact on the palming side. Furthermore, like the 22 Ocea Conquest 300, the height has been reduced by offsetting the small-diameter side plate, further improving palming comfort. The small, lightweight body fits comfortably in the palm of your hand and can be gripped naturally and effortlessly, reducing angler fatigue even during long fights. This specification allows you to fully experience the high-quality rotation feel and strong winding power of the Ocea Conquest. In addition, the 200 size has been made 3.9mm more compact on the palming side, and the height from the foot has been reduced by 2.3mm compared to the 18 Ocea Conquest 200, resulting in a lower profile. The weight has also been reduced by approximately 30g, greatly reducing the burden on the angler.

Making learning how to wind thread easier.

The line winding learning function stores the relationship between spool rotation and line winding amount in the digital counter and uses this relationship to display the water depth. In addition to the learning function of conventional models, it is equipped with learning data for PE 1.2/1.5/2/2.5/3号, which are frequently used in the 300 size, and PE 0.8/1/1.2/1.5/2号, which are frequently used in the 200 size.

Regardless of the amount of backing line wound onto the spool, as long as the specified line is wound up to approximately 1 mm from the outer diameter of the spool, it can be used within a practically sufficient margin of error.

*Precautions for use

The specified line learning value is a standard learning value when the specified line (Shimano PE line), including the backing line, is wound to a position of approximately 1 mm from the outermost diameter of the spool. The accuracy may decrease depending on the type of line you actually wind, the line tension, and the outer diameter after winding the line. For more reliable accuracy, please learn using E1, E2, L1, or L2 mode.

A new handle knob that has been improved to suit different situations.

The handles have been improved for ease of use, with the optimal length and shape pursued for each model number. The 300/301MG, designed for Dotera Tai Rubber fishing, features a 70mm handle with a lightweight CI4+ round knob, improving ease of constant-speed winding and winding sensitivity. Furthermore, the shaft diameter has been increased by 2mm for easier gripping during reeling. In addition, the 300/301HG, 300PG, and 300/301XG, designed for light jigging, feature a 75mm handle with a new T-shaped knob, prioritizing ease of applying force. The thumb grip and the fit in the hand have been improved, making them even easier to use.

Features

NEW Fall Lever

Improved ease of operation and winding sensitivity. New shape and mechanism for the NEW fall lever.

The new fall lever features a redesigned shape with a recess on the top surface for improved grip. This enhances operability, allowing for instant and precise adjustments as needed, while also maintaining smooth winding thanks to the built-in one-way roller bearing. The light winding feel is not compromised even when fall tension is applied.

High-durability clutch

Shimano clutches are renowned for their high durability. By applying a special surface treatment to the pinion gear, durability and salt resistance have been further improved. The reliability of the clutch is now even stronger. This reflects the design philosophy of creating a reel that can be truly used extensively.

High corrosion-resistant internal parts

Toughness is pursued not only in the main components but also in every single internal part, including washers. With high rigidity and corrosion resistance stainless steel used down to the smallest detail, this fully offshore-specific design promises a safe and reliable fight.

Level wind linked

The spool and level wind work in conjunction. This ensures that the line is released straight and allows the rig to fall smoothly. The drag also operates smoothly during a fight, providing peace of mind even when using thin lines.

Line anti-slip pins (size 300 only)

The spool is equipped with a pin to securely hold the PE line in place. Thanks to this small part, there is no need for anti-slip tape or nylon line backing when you start winding the line, preventing accidental line slippage problems.
